Rajkummar Rao Busts Net Worth Myths: 'I'm Not as Rich as People Think'

Rajkummar Rao, despite the massive success of Stree 2, has revealed that his financial situation isn’t as wealthy as people might assume. In a recent interview on Unfiltered with Samdish, the Bollywood star discussed the misconceptions about his net worth and financial status.

Rajkummar shared that while many believe he has a net worth of Rs.100 crore, this isn’t true. He explained that he is still paying off a large EMI for a house he purchased, clarifying that his finances aren't as extravagant as people think. He said, "I can't just walk into a showroom and buy a luxury car worth Rs.6 crore without giving it serious thought."

The actor further mentioned that while he could afford a car in the Rs.50 lakh range, even such purchases would require discussion. As of now, he feels comfortable buying a car worth Rs.20 lakh. Rajkummar also reflected on how receiving large sums of money too quickly can affect an actor's mindset, potentially altering their outlook and behavior.

Rajkummar's career is currently flourishing. After the success of Stree 2, which collected Rs.855.86 crore globally, his latest project, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, has also hit the screens. This sex comedy, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, features Rajkummar alongside Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, and Mallika Sherawat. The movie has already collected Rs.18.80 crore in just three days and was made with a budget of Rs.20-30 crore.

Stree 2, which was released on August 15, 2024, has become a box office sensation, with Rs.711.86 crore grossed in India and Rs.144 crore from overseas markets. The horror-comedy began streaming on Amazon Prime Video India on October 10.
