New Fast-Track Immigration Programme Expanding to Seven More Airports

Send Push

A new initiative aimed at speeding up the immigration process for pre-verified Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders will soon be introduced at seven additional major airports in India. The Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) will be rolled out in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad.

The FTI-TTP, initially launched at Delhi's IGI Airport on June 22, has already seen 18,400 registrations from Indians and OCI cardholders. The programme is designed to expedite immigration clearance using e-gates, a process that has already benefited 1,500 passengers in Delhi.

The expansion of this programme is part of the Union home ministry's efforts to enhance efficiency in immigration procedures during the first 100 days of the Modi 3.0 administration.

The expansion of the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) to seven more major airports underscores India’s commitment to enhancing travel efficiency and convenience for its citizens and OCI cardholders. By streamlining the immigration process and leveraging advanced technology, the programme aims to significantly reduce wait times and improve the overall travel experience. As the initiative spreads to more airports, it will further support India’s goal of modernizing its immigration infrastructure and facilitating smoother international travel.
