KT Rama Rao Criticizes Congress for Negligence During Telangana Floods

Hyderabad: In a direct response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tweet urging governmental action to assist flood victims in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, BRS leader KT Rama Rao has sharply criticized the Congress-led Telangana government for its poor response and neglect during the devastating floods in the Khammam region.

KT Rama Rao’s post on X read, “Rahul Ji, your government and Chief Minister have failed the people of Telangana and their mandate. It’s not enough to just urge action; you must ensure your government steps up in relief efforts and holds accountability for this disaster.” “Telangana’s vision has been shattered by your party’s neglect, and the people are losing faith with each passing day. If you truly care about Telangana as much as you claim, these many instances of gross negligence and deliberate harm wouldn’t be happening. The onus of this systematic failure is on the Congress Party! If people have to fend for themselves and pray to God for a miracle – what is the point of an elected government?” KTR's post continued.

This rebuke was in response to Rahul Gandhi’s earlier tweet, where he expressed sympathy for those affected by the floods and urged Congress leaders and workers to mobilize resources for relief efforts. Rahul Gandhi had also praised the Telangana government’s efforts while calling for both the Centre and Andhra Pradesh government to provide swift and comprehensive rehabilitation packages for the victims. Following the severe floods in the Khammam region, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao's critique of the Congress-led state government under CM Revanth Reddy highlights the growing frustration among Telangana’s residents. KTR emphasized that merely urging action is insufficient; decisive relief efforts and accountability are crucial.

The BRS leader further accused the Congress of undermining Telangana’s progress through systematic neglect, causing the public to lose faith in their elected leaders. He questioned the purpose of governance if citizens are left to fend for themselves and rely on divine intervention in times of crisis.
