HATHRAS: A tragic stampede at a religious event in Ratibhanpur, Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, has resulted in the deaths of 27 people, including 25 women and 2 men. The incident occurred as the gathering for Lord Shiva concluded, leading to chaos and multiple injuries.
Chief Medical Officer Rajkumar Aggarwal confirmed the casualties, stating, "We have received 27 bodies, out of which 25 are women and two are men." Fifteen women and children injured in the stampede were rushed to Etah Medical College for treatment, with concerns raised about additional fatalities.
Upon learning of the tragedy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath swiftly directed officials to the scene to expedite relief efforts. He emphasized ensuring the injured receive immediate and proper medical care, expressing hopes for their speedy recovery.
