There is good news for the students preparing for the NET exam. The application process for the UGC NET June 2024 session exam will start soon. The National Testing Agency will conduct the National Eligibility Test for a total of 80 subjects. The examination is conducted at the national level. UGC Chairman has posted that the National Testing Agency can start the application process for the NET June 2024 session exam from next week. Applications will be accepted online. As per the NTAE exam calendar for the academic year 2024-25, the UGC NET June 2024 session exam is scheduled between June 1 to June 21.

Who can apply for UGC NET 2024?

Candidates applying for UGC NET exam must have a Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks. Whereas OBC/SC/ST/PWD reserved category candidates should have a Master's degree with at least 50% marks.

Last year, a total of 9,45,918 candidates registered for the UGC NET December session exam, out of which 6,95,928 candidates appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted from December 6 to December 14 at designated centres in 292 cities across the country.
