PM Modi Slams Congress Over Operation Sindoor, Inaugurates ₹2183 Cr Projects in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his first visit to Varanasi after Operation Sindoor, strongly defended the military action and took a sharp dig at the Congress party, calling out their remarks on the operation.

Tribute to Soldiers and Farmers

Speaking at a public rally in Banauli village, Sevapuri, PM Modi said:

“Operation Sindoor was a moment of valor. Today is also a day to salute the farmers.”

He offered prayers at Baba Vishwanath's temple and said that Mahadev's blessings empowered India to avenge the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, where 26 people were killed.

He added that the promise to take revenge for the sindoor of the daughters of India had been fulfilled.

Congress Called Operation a 'Tamasha'

PM Modi hit out at the opposition:

“Congress called Operation Sindoor a tamasha. Do we need to ask the SP before killing terrorists?
Congress cannot bear that terrorists are being eliminated.”

He accused the Congress of sympathizing with terrorists, saying they are “pained by India’s success” in destroying terror camps.

₹2183 Cr Development Projects Unveiled

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 52 development projects worth ₹2183.45 crore. He also released the 20th installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, transferring ₹21,000 crore to 10 crore farmers across the country.

“When money goes from Kashi, it becomes prasad,” he remarked.

UP to Make BrahMos Missiles

The Prime Minister revealed that BrahMos missiles will now be manufactured in Lucknow, saying:

“Now UP’s missiles will destroy the sins of Pakistan.”

Varanasi’s Development Praised

He highlighted the uninterrupted development in Kashi, contrasting his government’s work with previous regimes:

“No false promises. You elected an MP who sent ₹900 crore to your accounts — without commission.”

He also announced the PM Dhan Dhanya Yojana worth ₹21,000 crore, and reiterated the record disbursals under PM Fasal Bima Yojana and MSP hikes.
