The ongoing monsoon session of Parliament has been marked by significant turmoil, with frequent disruptions over issues like the SIR and Operation Sindoor in Bihar causing both houses to adjourn almost daily. Amid this tense atmosphere, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a meeting of NDA MPs in the Parliament House to address them.
The meeting was held against the backdrop of recent successes of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, for which PM Modi received enthusiastic applause and praises. As he entered the meeting, slogans of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Jai Shri Ram" echoed through the hall, reflecting strong support from the attending MPs.
Before the session began, the parliamentary party paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack. A resolution was also adopted to honor the bravery of the Indian Army and the delegation sent to expose Pakistan’s actions.
This important gathering occurs just ahead of the Vice Presidential election nomination filings, placing it under the close watch of political observers. Discussions were expected to focus on the strategy for the remainder of the monsoon session and approaches to counter the opposition’s tactics.
The meeting saw the participation of MPs from the BJP and all its allies. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh garlanded Prime Minister Modi in a gesture of honor for his leadership during these military operations. Alongside PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and all NDA MPs actively took part in the session, showcasing a united front amid challenging parliamentary proceedings.
