Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stranded in space for more than 3 months. On the other hand, the spacecraft Starliner in which they both went to the International Space Station has now returned without them. Meanwhile, the first statement of Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore has come out, they said, we are looking forward to the next opportunity.

For the first time after the spacecraft returned, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore participated in a news conference and put their views in front of everyone. Both astronauts said it was very sad for us to see Boeing's Starliner going back to Earth without us.

What did both of them say?

Wilmore said, we did not want to see it go without us, but this is where it had to be, it had to go without us. Sunita Williams said with hope on this occasion, now we should look towards the next opportunity.

When the two astronauts were asked if they were angry with Boeing and NASA for the technical problems that occurred during the mission, they flatly denied it. Butch Wilmore pointed to the NASA logo on Sunita's T-shirt and said, "It represents what we stand for, we move forward and we do things that are out of the ordinary."

“We are ready for it”

This mission has gone from 8 days to 8 months. Due to this, after spending 3 months in space, both the astronauts have to stay in space for another 5 months, for which both said, they are ready for it. Butch Wilmore said, from 8 days to 8 months, we will give our best.

This is how you will vote in the election.

Presidential elections are going to be held in America on November 5, about which Sunita and Butch Wilmore said, we are planning to vote from space. Sunita Williams said smilingly, how different it will be that we will vote from space.

Now how will both of them come back?

Due to a technical fault in the Starliner spacecraft, the return mission of the two astronauts was being postponed repeatedly, after which NASA announced on August 24 that Sunita Williams and Wilmore would be part of the Crew 9 mission and they would return after a full 8 months in February 2025 through SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft. However, the Starliner spacecraft has returned without a crew.
