A case of mob lynching has come to light in Motihari, Bihar. Here, an angry mob tied a sadhu to an electric pole and beat him up. During this time, the sadhu kept begging the mob for mercy to release him, but the sadhu's plea had no effect on the mob. A retired inspector passing by rescued the injured sadhu from the clutches of the mob with great difficulty. The video of the sadhu being beaten up is going viral on social media.

The victim sadhu has complained to the police. The police have registered a case and started searching for the accused. The incident happened with Lalkishore Giri alias Naga Baba of Chatiya village of Malahi police station area of Motihari. He was going to the temple on his bike, when on the way in village Tikulia, a youth collided with his bike.

After the incident, an argument broke out between the youth and Naga Baba. The youth called the people of his village. The crowd of villagers tied Naga Baba to an electric pole. They tied Baba's hands and legs and beat him up mercilessly. Baba kept begging for mercy again and again but the violent mob was not ready to listen to his pleas. The villagers kept beating Naga Baba for a long time. Hearing the noise, a retired police inspector of the village reached there after some time. He freed the sadhu from the clutches of the mob.

Someone made the video of Naga Baba being beaten up viral. Baba has accused 9 named and 20 unknown villagers at Govindganj police station. Police have registered a case in this matter. Police took immediate action and arrested Ashok Ram, a villager named in the viral video, and sent him to jail. Police is busy arresting the remaining accused.
