The Kachha gang has once again become active in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The miscreants of this gang committed the crime in Fatuwapur village of Thathiya police station area late on Tuesday night. These miscreants entered a house wearing Kachha, took the whole family hostage, beat them up, and fled after taking the keys to the cupboard and cash and jewelry kept in the house. During this, when the members of the house tried to resist, the miscreants also attacked a person with a knife. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case.

The victim Santosh has complained to the police regarding this incident. He said that he and his family members went to sleep after having dinner on Tuesday night. After midnight, they felt some movement inside the house, so they got up and looked. At that time five people armed with weapons entered the house. All these people had tied a towel on their faces and were wearing only underwear. These people gathered all the people of the house at one place at gunpoint and then beat them all.

Robbery was also done in the neighboring village

According to Santosh, the miscreants first asked for the keys to the cupboard, and when they refused, they stabbed one of the family members and then opened the cupboard and fled with the gold and silver jewelry and lakhs of rupees in cash. The miscreants of this incident also entered a house in the nearby village of Basta committed the crime on the same pattern and fled from the spot. There was a stir on the news of robbery on the same pattern in two houses of two villages on the same night. In a hurry, the top officials of the district inspected the spot and efforts were started to nab the miscreants.

People are in panic, demand for increased patrolling

Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar said that the police have started combing and search operations in the entire area. On receiving the information, Kannauj Police Captain Amit Kumar Anand reached the spot and said that different teams had been formed to nab the miscreants. A forensic team and dog squad have also been deployed for this. As soon as the news of the incident was received, there was a state of panic in the entire district. People have started preparing to avoid such situations. Along with this, the police have also been asked to increase patrolling at night.
