There is concern for some of this year's Strictly Come Dancingcontestants after it is alleged that five of the 15 new celebrities are taking 'fat jabs'. It has been reported that a number of the celebrities are taking medication to aid with weight loss.
However, there are fears backstage that this could cause trouble during the seriesas the jabs work by reducing your hunger and there are concerns the celebrities could be eating fewer calories than they might need for the competition and training.
"Although the show’s execs are unaware as to who the stars in question are, talk is rife backstage about who has been using the drugs. That has placed everyone in a heightened state, with many wondering how it will affect how the celebs will dance over the coming months," a source said of potential concerns going forward.

"Using the jabs in combination with a reasonable amount of exercise is seen as a good thing, but what is required of contestants on Strictly is next level."
The source told The Sun:"The BBC will continue with their normal protocols which see them closely monitor the health of the contestants throughout the time they are on the show, with any sign they’re unwell or struggling physically acted upon immediately. Beyond that they are powerless to intervene in any way, and not just because the stars aren’t obliged to tell them, it’s also because the medications are prescribed substances which they are entitled to take."
A BBC spokesperson added: "Whilst we wouldn’t comment on personal matters of this nature, we are not aware of anything to support these claims."
Now former Strictly star Tyler West has given his verdict on the news. Speaking on Lorraine today, he said: "Lorraine, I promise you now, when I was on that show, I couldn't eat enough calories to keep going.
"Honestly, Dianne was just force-feeding me food, I was having cannolis left right and centre. I had to keep going because you're doing eight to ten hours of dancing a day so you're just sweating it straight off. It's obviously intense, it's obviously gruelling but I don't know how you would be able to function without those calories. You lose the weight as it is."
Strictly has been hit with ups and downs already this series, with Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn having to pull out of the show. He said: "With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons. I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I’m deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor. Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense."
He was later replaced by Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope, who has attracted criticism because of his dance background.
