Reason 'scared' Lucy Letby can't lose weight as she hoards 'junk food' behind bars

Baby killer nurse Lucy Letby cannot lose weight and hoards junk food in her prison cell, a jail source has claimed.

Letby is currently serving 15 whole life sentences at HMP Bronzefield for murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven more as a neonatal nurse. The killer is being held in the prison's House Block 4 - which separates prisoners serving life sentences away from the rest of the jail population - but a source inside the jail has revealed the killer nurse has moaned about being "too scared" to do a basic activity while locked up in the special wing.

An inmate exclusively told The Mirror about Letby's time in jail, including her alleged moaning and crying to win sympathy from guards in the wing. The murdered allegedly has prison officers accompany her through the jail corridors, never leaving her alone, as she supposedly fears she will be attacked by the other prisoners.

This fear has even hit the nurse's health as she moaned she can't lose weight and is "too scared" to go to the gym as she also fears being attacked in there, according to The Mirror's source.

This comes after Letby has allegedly whinged that she's the "she's the fattest she's ever been" after munching on junk food as some sort of comfort at HMP Bronzefield.

The source said: "She gets almost £20 a week, which in prison money is a lot. She buys loads, and loads of junk food. She's put on loads of weight, she's got quite fat, you wouldn't recognise her. It's all put on around her face.

"She was moaning that she's the fattest she's ever been. She weighs 72 kilos [almost 11 stone 5oz] - she's not fat, but fat for her, you know as she was really, really skinny.

"She really loves doughnuts and we often get them for dessert here, but she claims to be eating healthily because she's vegetarian, but meanwhile she'll stuff her face with sweets and chocolate."

Letby allegedly makes up to £56 a week through a mix of prison jobs and money sent to her from family and supporters, the source claimed. The murdered supposedly uses this cash to order herself a bag full of chocolate and sweets each week - known as her "canteen".

The source added: "Every Wednesday, she gets her canteen, I said to her one time, 'It's like a Santa sack, what is wrong with you, you can't eat all that', and she says 'oh it's the only comfort I have.'"

The insider added: "Why should she be able to do this when she's a f**king convicted baby killer, why is that ok? We are in this upside down world, where it's ok for her to behave like she runs his f**king prison."

Despite Letby's shocking convictions, a team campaigning on the killer nurse's behalf claim she has suffered a miscarriage of justice. A panel of international experts have since published a bombshell report alleging Lucy Letby committed no crimes - with police refuting the "ill-informed" claims.
