Brentford have sent Manchester United fans into a Bryan Mbeumo-themed transfer frenzy with some naughty social media hijinx. The Cameroon forward is of interest to both Manchester United and Tottenham this season following a sensational season last time out.
He is thought to favour a move to Old Trafford but a reunion with his former Brentford boss Thomas Frank is on the cards in North London. And while his future is yet to be fully decided, the Bees social media team have allowed themselves to have a bit of fun.
They shared a two-minute long video on Twitter on Thursday afternoon showing every Premier League goal that Mbeumo had scored last season. Of course, the 26-year-old enjoyed a stunning campaign as he plundered 20 goals for the Bees - something that has likely triggered interest in his services.
Some Red Devils fans even suggested that a transfer could be imminent after watching the video. One fan said: “Farewell comp?” While another added: “Time to let him go, gents.” A final fan replied: "We will love to see this at Old Trafford."
Mbeumo has already broken his silence on his future having admitted he was slightly unprepared for the furore around a transfer, albeit was taking it in his stride. He said: "It (transfer speculation) is a bit new for me I would say! I think it can be the life of a footballer, and you need to accept it.

"It's been my best season so far in the Premier League. And even collectively, I think we did play very good games. I think we've been unlucky to chase the Europe spot, but I think it's been a fantastic season."
One man who needs no reminder of Mbeumo’s abilities will surely be former Brentford boss Frank. Speaking during his time in West London, he warned any interested sides that they would have to dig deep into their pockets to afford him - words that could now come back to bite him having moved to Spurs.
"It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount," Frank said. "It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot.

"Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one. It cannot be done. There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for.
"I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don’t look at him. I would be surprised with what he has to offer.
“How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethic. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player."
