Love Island's Movie Night is making a comeback this weekend.

It has been confirmed the the iconic challenge will hit screens during Sunday's (July 7) episode of the ITV2 dating show.

Voiceover Ian Stirling delivered the juicy news at the end of Friday's (July 5) episode, sending fans into a frenzy on social media as they couldn't wait to get a glimpse of any potential villa drama unfolding onscreen.

Hitting up X, previously known as Twitter, on viewer exclaimed: "Movie night is backkkk omg can't wait for these scummy men being exposed." Another keen fan predicted: "No matter what it is, Nicole will 10000% be crying this Sunday on Movie Night."

Movie Night reveals how well the Islanders held up during Casa Amor's temptation-charged atmosphere and generally delivers the goods some episodes after the fact, reports the Daily Star. But with the aim to dazzle an impressive 3.4million audience, showrunners have decided to bring this controversial segment front and centre earlier than usual.

Cast your minds back to 2021 when the segment set off such a storm it was crowned Ofcom's most complained-about TV moment of the year, with viewers unable to forget Faye Winter's volcanic confrontation with Teddy Soares after she misconstrued a clip that genuinely displayed his loyalty.

During the latest episode, voiceover Iain made a savage dig at Rishi Sunak after Labour won the election against the Conservatives, with Rishi Sunak and his party suffering a devastating defeat at the polls.

He said: "Everyone’s woken up thinking about last night. Big decisions were made. Hearts were broken and someone ended up in tears screaming ‘why?' But enough about Rishi Sunak."

Conversation then turned to the aftermath from Casa Amor recoupling, where Ayo picked Jess and thus left Mimii single. There are also big tensions between Wil and Uma after it was revealed he wasn't loyal during his time in the other villa. Sean and Matilda are also on the rocks after the truth was exposed about what he got up to during his time in Casa Amor.
