Kim Kardashian made her breathtaking Met Gala appearance.
The socialite wore a strapless, metallic dress which featured a taught corset. Her cinched bodice included embroidered designs which faded into the skirt made of chained flowers. On top of the fancy dress, she added a more casual cropped cardigan with a small brown button which she held closed tightly around her shoulders. As a final accessory, Kim wore a large diamond ring on her pinky finger.
Kim wore her bleach blonde hair with dark roots down, cascading around her shoulders. The reality star kept it more natural for her makeup, avoiding eyeliner and opting for a nude lip and toned-down lashes. Her nails followed the neutral toned theme, but were manicured into a long stiletto shape.
Many were confused by the execution of her style. While she wore the glam dress, some felt that her cardigan was a bit out of place. One wrote: "I'm missing the point of the sweater fr, someone should fill me in please."
They felt the accessory looked cheap on the otherwise wealthy star. "Now why is Kim Kardashian wearing that raggedy pilled sweater with that nice dress," said one.

Fans had mixed thoughts on her disappearing waistline, saying she looked "like a doll." "The waist Omg the waist," wrote one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, another rolled their eyes at her figure, writing: "The surgeries need to stawp, why her waist un-naturally like that?"
"Honestly the corset situation is just irresponsible," said another concerned fan. The attention continued to be on her body as someone else wrote: "Is taking out organs for your dress to fit a new trend or something."
Yet, some were just grateful to see a comeback after her appearances the last few years. The Met Gala veteran came under fire after she wore an ancient Marilyn Monroe dress in 2022, sparking controversy and concern that she stretched out the historical garment. In 2023, she appeared again with a pearly display for the Karl Lagerfeld themed event. A fan wrote: "After that disaster of last year seems like we got to her. Good."
Another fan pointed out that the Marilyn look also included a cardigan. They wrote: "How to ruin a look 101: Gorgeous dress by Margiela on Kim Kardashian. But did we need the Gap sweater draped over it? NO! She pulled a similar stunt with her Marilyn look… why?"
