Harry Styles enjoyed a record-breaking year after earning a staggering £40million in 2022.
Latest figures from his independent label Erskine Records, which holds earnings from his music sales, show he has assets of £74.7million - a rise of £32.8m last year. This includes £39.3m cash in the bank. The pay follows Styles claiming the biggest-selling album and single of 2022.
Harry’s album, Harry’s House, spent six weeks at Number 1, while ‘As It Was’ spent 10 weeks at the top of the singles chart and was streamed 180 million times last year. He has amassed assets worth £110m in three firms registered at Companies House. As well as the £32.8m rise in earnings at his label, he has also earned a further £7.2m in 2022 through his publishing company HSA Publishing.
Accounts for the company show the former 1D star has built up assets of £19m in the firm. Harry, who was put into One Direction on The X Factor in 2010, has further assets worth £16 million in his performing company Erskine Touring. Styles banked the Erskine Touring cash from his sell-out tour, with plenty more still to come.
The accounts for the touring company only run to March 2022 - covering the first six months of the tour - meaning his earnings from the final 18 months on the road have yet to be totted up.
It comes after it emerged that Styles is the bookies' favourite to sing the next James Bond theme. The Adore You singer’s popularity soared in recent years, leaving him the shortest-priced British artist to accompany the next Bond film at 7/1. Following Styles in the market to croon the next 007 theme are Ed Sheeran at 8/1, Lewis Capaldi at 10/1 and Elton John at 12/1.
William Kadjanyi, political analyst at Star Sports, explained: “With the next James Bond film being discussed more and more, it seems increasingly likely that Harry Styles, one of the biggest names in music today, could be the voice we hear in the opening titles of the next Bond film. And this is not forgetting Ed Sheeran, whose music has already appeared in the likes of The Hobbit, at 8/1 and the ever-popular Lewis Capaldi, following closely behind Styles in the market at 10/1."
Meanwhile, Coral bookmakers have revealed there is strong support for Aaron Taylor-Johnson in their James Bond betting earlier this month. The actor was cut to 11-4 (from 3-1) over 24 hours and he is the favourite with the firm to be named as the next 007.
