EastEnders' Oscar Branning gets close to unlikely resident - leaving Lauren in shock

Send Push

It's set to be another dramatic week in EastEnders next week - and new spoilers tease another development in Oscar Branning's recent storyline.

Last week, Patrick Trueman's family were left horrified when he was knocked to the floor unconscious after a mystery burglar came in and took his winnings from the horses. Fans of course, were aware the culprit was Oscar, in an attempt to pay off Big Mike. However, he was unaware his sister had already paid off his debt for him.

It was then revealed that Howie was also in the know, but instead of telling the police, he tried to blackmail both Oscar and his sister Lauren. Fortunately, Patrick was fine, and next week he returns from hospital. However, he's suffering from anxiety due to his attack - which leaves Howie feeling awful. It comes after EastEnders confirmed Ben Mitchell's return with first look funeral pictures.

Howie isn't the only one feeling bad however, as next week, Oscar will be seen chatting to Patrick's fiancé, Yolande. Lauren is left in disbelief when she finds out what's going down, and orders her younger brother to keep his distance.

It doesn't seem like Oscar takes any notice though, as he later overhears Yolande telling Kathy that Patrick is too frightened to leave the house, and offers to help her with her bags.

As the troubled teen arrives back at No.20, he strikes up a friendship with Patrick, despite having knocked him to the ground a week prior. The two sit down for a game of dominos, and once again, Lauren is left in disbelief when Kathy tells her how Oscar is helping the Truemans.

Elsewhere next week, Elaine Peacock is also in trouble when she's throw to the ground by a group of threatening lads after attempting to help her ex George with his brother Kojo. George is left concerned when Okie buys Kojo a new watch, and Elaine offers to help suss the situation out.

But when she goes to see Kojo at The Arches, he’s surrounded by a group of threatening lads, who throw Elaine to the ground.

Stacey's also in trouble when she finds out her SecretCam pictures from years ago have been leaked - and after last week's shenanigans, she suspects Joel right away. It comes just as her daughter Lily makes her return from her dad Ryan's house - and understandably, brings the mood right down.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
