Andre Onana will make his return to the Manchester United starting line-up against Lyon, Ruben Amorim has revealed. It marks a swifty return to action for the goalkeeper who missed the club's last match.
Onana was left out of Manchester United's squad that lost to in the at the weekend after the goalkeeper committed errors in the Red Devils' draw with Lyon. The 29-year-old's poor performance followed a public war of words with ex-United midfielder Nemanja Matic, who declared the shotstopper to be one of the club's worst ever goalkeepers.
Amorim suggested that he hoped to keep Onana out of the spotlight at St James' Park as Altay Bayindir deputised and Tom Heaton took a place among the substitutes.
