B&M's 'amazing' £10 shade is 'just like' £199 Neptune version

B&M is stocking a lampshade that looks very similar to a much more expensive version. The retaileris well known for its stylish, affordable homeware - and there may be a new must-have on sale.

The retailer's Paper Rope Light Shade in Natural looks strikingly similar to a version by furniture brand Neptunebut at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the B&Mversion for £10, while the high end version is currently priced at £199 online.

Instagram user @homeofchelon shared a video comparing the two products, alongside the caption: "Paper Rope Lampshade is only £10 at @bm_stores and the quality is amazing." Text over the clip reads: "Neptune vibes £199 but B&M price £10!!"

Beneath the post, many shoppers were quick to comment on the "bargain" find. Among them, one person said: "Love me a good bargain. Looks beaut."

A second wrote: "Oooh I love this" and a third added: "Total bargain." A fourth shopper said: "Such a fab find, it's gorgeous."

A fifth wrote: "Oh wow! What an amazing find - looks gorgeous," and a sixth said: "Great find!" and another added: "Love these."

The praise continued, with one shopper writing: "What a good find Chelon! Looks so lovely. Bargain!" A second said: "Wow this is stunning" and a third wrote: "omg obsessed."

A fourth shopper added: "Wow that's a huge saving!! It's beautiful," and a fifth wrote: "This is unreal." A sixth said: "omg ok I LOVE this."

The two shades look similar, with matching woven, string designs and similar shapes. They both also come in a natural colourway.

However, there are slight differences too. The Neptune version is slightly bigger, while B&M's shade is deeper.

B&M's Paper Rope Light Shade is priced at £10, while the Neptune Athena Pendant comes in at £199. This means shoppers could save around £189 by opting for the bargain version. Customers can grab the B&M shade in stores now.
