Their ratings were very complimentary of Barcelona as Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha all scored the top grade of one after a superb night for the LaLiga giants, who are managed by ex-Bayern boss Hansi Flick.

Despite the humbling, Bayern chief Max Eberl insisted , saying: "We believe in what we're doing and we will continue to defend what we're doing”

Speaking after the game, Kompany said their defeat was "not a surprise" because Barcelona were a top team but said his players would learn from their "clear defeat".

"There are no excuses. What's important is that we learn from this game. This game won't decide our season. Why there was such a big difference between the first and second half is something we need to look at."
