Angellica Bell's husband Michael Underwood makes rare TV appearance on Celeb Big Brother

's husband made a rare TV appearance on companion show Late & Live tonight to support her. He spoke about being away from his wife whilst she's in the house.

Former TV presenter Michael, 49 - known for his presenting roles on and CITV - supported Angellica, also 49, on Late & Live earlier. He featured in a segment on the show in which loved ones of housemates spoke to host , 37, ahead of tomorrow evening's third eviction.

Michael - who, in recent years, has become a teacher and been a presenter on Virgin Radio - has been married to fellow presenter Angellica since 2010. The couple have two children together.

Talking about his wife whilst on Late & Live tonight, Michael said that he has found it "hard" not being able to speak to her whilst she's in the Big Brother house. He also shared his pride over how she's doing on the show so far.

Asked what he would say to Angellica, he told host AJ on the companion show: "I'd tell her she's doing so brilliantly. She's making the whole family proud. Me proud."

Michael continued: "And it's the most emotional you will have seen her on this show. Y'know normally she likes to be really strong and she is strong, and she's really independent. But y'know the emotion's there and it's been creeping out obviously because of the intense situation."

He added: "There are times when I'm literally having to hold myself back because just seeing her like that, I want to be there and give her a big cuddle. And tell her it's going to be okay. So it's hard that I haven't been able to speak to her."

AJ - who said she was "fangirling" after having watched Jungle Run host Michael on TV growing up - also asked about her friendship with housemates and . He said: "Angellica just likes people who are straight talking."

Speaking about winner Danny, Michael continued tonight: "[Angellica likes people] who are just direct and honest. And I think Danny is that. He's fun, he's direct talking and she knows where she stands."

He said: "[In] the years that I've been married to Angellica, the times she's fallen out or found people difficult are the people she doesn't read or she doesn't know where she stands with them. They say one thing but they do another - those sorts of behaviours. So I think that's why [she likes Danny]."

Turning his attention to star Ella, Michael added on the show: "And with Ella she sees the vulnerability, I think. I think we see the best of Ella when she's with Angellica and Danny. She just feels more herself.

Angellica was among the thirteen celebrities who entered the Big Brother house last Monday for the new series. She's now one of the remaining ten housemates ahead of tomorrow night's eviction, with three people having already left. and are tomorrow.

Late & Live continues tomorrow night from 10.30pm on ITV2 and ITVX. It's set to air immediately after Celebrity Big Brother's live eviction, which will be broadcast from 9pm on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
