Amandaland's Peter Serafinowicz splits from TV star wife after 23 years together

BBC star has reportedly split from his wife Sarah Alexander after 23 years. Sources have claimed that the Amandaland actor, 51, and the actress - who starred in BBC sitcom Coupling - have quietly separated.

Of their split, a source has claimed the split is "sad" but "very recent. Peter and Sarah share son Sam and daughter Phoebe together.

Before meeting Peter, Sarah had a brief romance with actor Gerald Harper - who is four decades her senior. Their time together spanned only a year before she decided to part ways and begin a new chapter with Peter.

Away from his love life, Peter recently shed some light on his personal journey, disclosing that he was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 40. Speaking to i Paper, he shared: “I only found out 10 years ago, and really even more recently than that - like a year or two ago – realised just how severely it’s affected my life.

"Having ADHD for me, it’s like being a genius, and also being a total idiot. Some things I can do really super well, and there are some very, very, very basic things that I find almost impossible. I think that’s true for a lot of people with ADHD.”

Peter now co-hosts the podcast I’m ADHD, No You’re Not alongside Paul Whitehouse and Dr. Mine Conkbayir MBE, blending humor with candid discussions about life with the condition.

The actor has recently made a huge mark on viewers thanks to the hit comedy as Amanda's South African property developer boyfriend, Johannes.

Last month, it was revealed that the Motherland spin-off will return for a second series on after becoming the second biggest comedy launch for the in recent years - behind Ludwig.

The series, starring as posh single mother Amanda, has pulled in 6.4million viewers across its first run. Co-writer and creator Holly Walsh said: “We've been bowled over by the response to Amandaland and can't wait to get co-labbing on the next series.”

The series has already been ordered for a special with a source hinting it had already been filmed. “Amandaland is so funny, this could be the new jewel in the crown of the Christmas schedule," they said.." Everyone is thrilled. But it’s top secret.”

Peter has also enjoyed major roles in Shaun of the Dead, , and Rick and Morty. Meanwhile, Sarah has found fame in the US by starring on American series Teachers.

She has also featured in Peter's shows Look Around You and O! News. The has approached Peter and Sarah's respective representatives for comment on this story.
