Alejandro Garnacho has questioned whether he will be a player next season - after his brother made his anger with Ruben Amorim clear on social media after their final defeat.
against on Wednesday night, with United dominated possession but were toothless in attack and fell to defeat.
That ensures there will be no football next season, no silverware for a third campaign running and that this term has been little short of a disaster. Amorim's decison to put all his eggs in the Europa League basket has blown up in his face.
The Portuguese raised eyebrows with his team selection in Bilbao, notably leaving Garnacho on the bench, with and Amad both being given the nod in attack, supporting Rasmus Hojlund. The youngster's social media antics have previously landed him in trouble, and his brother Roberto – no stranger to controversy himself since the family's move to Manchester – caused a stir after posting a scathing critique following the final: "Working as no one else, helping every round, coming from two goals last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus. Wowe, hahahaha."
The Argentina star later echoed his brother's sentiments during an interview after the match, while giving an update on his future.
"I played every round to help the team reach the final, and today I only got 20 minutes," the Argentine told the media.

“You know that Tottenham put all the full-backs and midfielders inside with a lot of people overloading that space, so my thinking was to have possession and a right foot in that position is really important.
“And to also have speed on the bench, because we have Amad on the other side. We need to have legs to change the game.”
