Ingredients for Garlic Herb Bread

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped

2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

How to Make Garlic Herb Bread

- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. This indicates the yeast is active.

- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.

- While the dough is rising, mix minced garlic, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and melted butter in a small bowl.

- After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Roll it out into a rectangle shape on a floured surface. Brush the garlic-herb butter mixture evenly over the dough.

- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces and place them in a greased baking pan, leaving some space between each piece.

- Cover the pan and let the dough rise again for 30-45 minutes.

- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

- Remove from the oven and brush extra melted butter on top for a shiny, flavorful crust. Serve warm and enjoy!
