Devguradia Shiva Temple
The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Devguradia Shiva Temple is 8 km from Indore city. The temple is located in a village far away. This temple is a monument made of rocks that was built in the 7th century. This temple was renovated by Ahilya Bai Holkar in the 18th century. This temple is also known as Garuda Tirtha among the local people. The special feature of this temple is that the water source here is in the shape of the open mouth of a cow which is called Gaumukh.

Kancha Mandir

Kancha Mandir is considered to be a grand temple of Indore. This temple is made of white stone. This temple is built in the form of a mansion, which also has a canopy balcony and Shikara. Let us tell you, that the interior of the temple is made entirely of glass. Kancha Mandir is a Jain temple, which was built by cotton merchant Hukum Chand in the 20th century. When you go to this temple, you will see the walls, ceiling, pillars, floor, doors, etc. made of glass. Lord Mahavir and Tirthankara idols are installed in the temple.

Annapurna Temple

The Annapurna Temple built by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar is one of the most beautiful and famous temples in Indore. It is believed that those who come here and pray with a true heart, their wishes are fulfilled. Annapurna Devi is considered the goddess of food and it is a common belief that if devotees visit this temple and worship Maa Annapurna, then they never have to face a shortage of food in life. The idol worshipped here has a spoon and food in its hands. As far as the architecture of the temple is concerned, within the temple premises, there are three separate temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, and Lord Kalbhairav. The walls outside the temple are decorated with beautiful images of mythological characters.

Khajrana Ganesh Temple
This temple is located on Khajrana Road in Indore and is very famous. It was also built by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar. There is a legend behind this temple. According to legend, the idol of Lord Ganesha installed here was hidden in a well to save it from the tyrannical Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. After the idol was found in 1735, this temple was built by Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar. Today this temple is known as Khajrana Temple. The festival of Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated with great pomp in this temple. During this time a fair is also organized in the area of Khajrana Temple. Here, whichever devotee makes an inverted Swastika on the back of Ganesha to fulfill his wish, Ganpati ji fulfills his wish. After the wish is fulfilled, he again makes a straight Swastika. Here special worship of Ganesha is done on Wednesday and Chaturthi.

Bijasen Tekri
Bijasen Tekri is also one of the famous worship places in Indore. It is the abode of Bijasen Mata, who is worshipped by the goddess Durga. It is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Durga. It is believed that by praying here with a true heart, the power of the goddess can restore the eyesight of the blind. Built in 1920, this temple is situated on the top of an 800 feet high hill (called Tekri). The main attraction of this place of worship is the extraordinary fair organized during Navratri which attracts both devotees and tourists in large numbers.

Bijasan Mata Temple
You might be surprised to know that this temple is 1000 years old. There are idols of nine goddesses installed in this temple. This temple was built by Maharaja Shivajirao Holkar of Indore in 1760. Bijasan Mata is considered to be the goddess of good fortune and son-giving. If there are any kind of obstacles in your marriage, or you are not having children, then all your wishes are fulfilled by visiting this temple. Talking about the past, due to the presence of black deer in the forest, this temple has become famous for Tantra-Mantra and Siddhi.

Bada Ganpati Mandir
Bada Ganpati Mandir is one of the famous temples of Indore. A 25-foot-high idol of Ganesha is installed in this temple. This temple was built in 1875. It is said that a resident of Ujjain, Shri Dadhich had dreamt of an idol of Lord Ganesha at night and thus he woke up the next day and decided to build a temple there. The idol is made from a mixture of limestone, jaggery, bricks, holy soil, soil, and mud crushed from the feet of horses, cows, and elephants, Panchratna powder, and water. The structure of the idol is made from gold, silver, brass, copper, and iron.
