To promote renewable energy sources in the country, the Central and State Governments are running many excellent schemes at their respective levels. In this connection, a few years ago the Central Government had started a very ambitious scheme. The name of this scheme is Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana. There are a large number of farmers in the country who irrigate their fields with the help of diesel engines. It is worth noting that farmers spend a lot of money on purchasing fuel. In such a situation, the government is giving good subsidy to the farmers for installing solar pumps in their fields under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana. With the help of solar pumps, farmers will not need to spend money on fuel to irrigate their fields. Let us know about this scheme in detail -
Under Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, farmers are getting a 60 percent subsidy on installing solar pumps in their fields. Apart from this, the government is also giving 30 percent loans to the farmers.
If you avail of the loan facility, you can easily install solar pumps in your fields by depositing only 10 percent of the amount. Farmers do not need to spend much money on irrigating fields with the help of solar pumps.
Apart from installing solar pumps, farmers can earn a good amount of money by installing solar pump plants in their fields. Farmers can also generate electricity after installing solar pump plants.
The department will purchase the electricity generated by farmers at a tariff of Rs 3 7 paise. In such a situation, you will be able to earn a good amount through this. Many people in the country are taking advantage of the Kusum scheme of the Government of India.
