Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police arrested an employee of an examination centre for allegedly stealing CPUs, hard disks worth ₹2.48 lakh on Tuesday. He had also sold some of the accessories to a person, who was also arrested by the police.
ACP (Sanyogitaganj) Tushar Singh informed media persons that Chandan Raghuvanshi, a resident of Pawandham Colony had lodged a complaint on Monday that online recruitment examinations related to various departments are conducted through a computer system in Masihi Kanya Higher Secondary School.
While inspecting the related computers, CPU and hard disk etc. at the centre, it was found that the computers kept in the centre were stolen. A case was registered by the police under relevant section of the BNS.
Registration Of 10 Modified Vehicles Suspended For Illegal Commercial Use In IndorePolice said that Raghuvanshi had doubted employee Nitesh Sahu for his involvement in the theft. The police later detained Sahu, who had denied committing the incident first.
When the police team interrogated him psychologically, Sahu allegedly confessed to his crime and said that he sold some of the stolen materials to his friend Javed Khan, a resident of Prince Colony.
The police team caught accused Javed in connection with the same and recovered 26 CPUs, 60 hard disks and 4 monitors. The value of the recovered goods is ₹2.48 lakh.
