Lucknow: On the occasion of Independence Day, 17 Uttar Pradesh policemen have been awarded the President’s Gallantry Medal, with 10 of them from the Special Task Force (STF). In addition, six officers have been recognised for outstanding service, while 72 personnel received the President’s Medal for meritorious service.
Among the gallantry award recipients are DIG Ajay Kumar Sahni, Deputy SP Deepak Kumar Singh, Dharmesh Kumar Shahi, Inspector Munish Pratap Singh Chauhan, Hemant Bhushan Singh, SI Akshay Praveer Kumar Tyagi, Mukesh Kumar, Dinesh Chandra, Head Constable Vinod Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Arun Kumar, Tinkle, Manoj Kumar, Yashwant Singh, Neeraj Kumar Pandey, Constable Rajan Kumar (awarded for the second time), and Mukesh Singh. For outstanding service, ADG K. Satyanarayan, ADG Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, DIG Kuldeep Narayan, Rajesh Kumar Singh, SI Awadh Narayan, and Tara Chandra have been honoured.
