Why Are Wishes Whispered Into The Ears Of Nandi: The month of Sawan is going on. During this time, devotees worship Lord Shiva and observe fasts and perform Jalabhishek to please him. It is believed that after worshiping Lord Shiva, his vehicle and beloved servant, Nandi, is also worshipped. It is said in the scriptures that by saying your wish in the ears of Nandi, that wish reaches Lord Shiva. But do you know what the reason is behind this belief? Why is this done, and what are its rules? Let's know about the mythology related to it....

What is the mythology behind this tradition?
According to a legend, Lord Shiva blessed Nandi that whoever says his wish in your ear, it will definitely reach me and it will also be fulfilled. That is why even today devotees whisper their heart's desire in Nandi's ears.
Another story tells that a sage asked Nandi how he shares his wishes with Lord Shiva. Nandi replied that he only serves the Lord and does not say anything else. Then the sage said that whoever wants to convey his wish to Lord Shiva, should say it in Nandi's ear, and Nandi himself will convey it to the Lord. This tradition started from then.
By telling your wish in Nandi's ears, that wish is fulfilled, but before that it is necessary to pronounce "Om", so that Nandi listens to you carefully and conveys it to Lord Shiva.
How to tell your wish in Nandi's ear?
First of all, worship Nandi properly, light a lamp and offer food. After this, while pronouncing "Om", tell your wish in Nandi's left ear. It is believed that what is said in the left ear reaches Lord Shiva quickly and is also fulfilled.
