The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the recruitment of 1,516 Lecturer (Pravakta) positions in Government Inter Colleges (GICs) across Uttar Pradesh. This marks the first such recruitment drive since December 2020. The application process commenced on August 12, 2025, and will conclude on September 12, 2025, with corrections allowed until September 19, 2025 .
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories and differently-abled candidates .
Educational Qualification: A Master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university is required. Additionally, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree has been made mandatory for this recruitment cycle .
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Hindi equivalent to the 10th standard level is necessary .
Selection Process
The selection involves a three-tier examination system:
Duration: 2 hours
Marks: 300
Subjects: General Studies, General Hindi, English, and the concerned subject (objective type)
Duration: 3 hours
Marks: 400

Interview: Candidates who qualify the Mains Examination will be called for an interview, which carries 12.2% weightage in the final selection .
