The film had a strong run at the box office, and now it is all set to make its official digital debut. Fans who missed it in theatres will finally get a chance to watch it on OTT, as the film is scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

With its OTT release now confirmed, Thalaivan Thalaivii is expected to find a wider audience. The film will start streaming on Prime Video from August 22.

For the unversed, Thalaivan Thalaivii follows the story of Agasaveeran (played by Vijay Sethupathi) and Perarasi (played by Nithya Menen), a couple deeply passionate about cooking and food. However, after tying the knot, their relationship starts to face unexpected challenges, and the plot unfolds around how they navigate the ups and downs of marriage.

The film was released theatrically on July 25, and although it opened to mixed reviews from critics, strong word-of-mouth helped it gain traction at the box office. Within just 13 days, the film earned Rs 49.1 crore in India, and by mid-August, it crossed Rs 75 crore worldwide, making it a major commercial success for a film made on a Rs 33 crore budget.

Thalaivan Thalaivii marks the second collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, after their well-received Malayalam film 19(1)(a) in 2022. Their effortless chemistry and relatable performances were widely appreciated.

The movie also features a strong ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Chemban Vinod Jose, Roshini Haripriyan, Myna Nandhini, Deepa Shankar, Kaali Venkat, and Vinodhini. The technical team behind the film includes Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, M. Sukumar handling cinematography, and Pradeep E. Ragav in charge of editing.
