PM Modi distributes sanction letters to 32,000 beneficiaries of PMAY-G, releases first instalment of Rs 32 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually distributed sanction letters to 32,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) and released first instalment of Rs 32 crore for the construction of houses. He also virtually handed over keys to 46,000 beneficiaries of PMAY-G across the country. The Centre has approved 1,13,400 houses for the poor in Jharkhand under the PMAY-G scheme.

Additionally, he released first instalment of Rs 32 crore at Ranchi. During the event, PM Modi virtually launched projects worth Rs 660 crore from Jharkhand's Ranchi.

"Today marks a significant day in Jharkhand's developmental journey. Today, the state has been provided with six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over Rs 650 crores, enhanced connectivity and travel infrastructure, and the added benefit of thousands of people receiving their own homes under the PM Awas Yojana. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives," said PM Modi.


Addressing the crowd virtually, PM Modi said "Centre's priority is development of tribals, poor, youth and women: PM Modi at Ranchi in Jharkhand."


A further boost to universal housing will continue on September 17 when PM Modi is set to release the 1st instalment of assistance to nearly 13 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G of around 14 states. The Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) from across the country will be held during the programme.

Vande Bharat trains:
Six more Vande Bharat trains entered the Indian Railways fleet on Sunday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the trains from Tatanagar in Jharkhand.

The trains will improve the connectivity on Tatanagar - Patna, Bhagalpur - Dumka - Howrah, Brahmapur - Tatanagar, Gaya - Howrah, Deoghar -Varanasi, and Rourkela - Howrah routes.

The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains will benefit regular travellers, professionals, business and student community.
