The Indian Embassy in Tehran has called on Iranian authorities to urgently locate three Indian nationals who have gone missing after traveling to Iran
According to a statement issued by the embassy on X, the matter was brought to its attention by the concerned families of the individuals. “Family members of 3 Indian citizens have informed the Embassy of India that their relatives are missing after having traveled to Iran,” the embassy said.
In response, the Indian mission has pressed the Iranian authorities to investigate the matter and ensure the safety of the missing individuals. “The Embassy has strongly taken up this matter with the Iranian authorities and requested that the missing Indians should be urgently traced and their safety ensured,” it added.
While the names and details of the missing persons have not been made public, officials confirmed they are maintaining direct contact with the families involved. “We are also keeping the family members updated of the efforts being made by the Embassy,” the statement said.
