New Delhi: The 58th edition of the of IHGF Delhi Fair saw a record number of business enquiries worth Rs 3,500 crore, the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts ( EPCH) said.
Buyers from 108 countries participated in the show from October 16-20, featuring over 3,000 exhibitors.
“Despite recession, this was the best show with the highest ever enquiries, signalling good demand,” said Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor in the role of Director General, EPCH.
As per the council, approximately 7,730 buyers and buying representatives from 108 countries including the US, UK, UAE, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, Japan and Russia visited the fair
“Buying representatives from companies/ departmental stores from Home Depot, TJX, Cosmo, Bed bath Beyond, Home Centre, Masion Du Monde, Edelman, Ross, XXXLUTZ, Home & Garden and many more visited the fair,” EPCH said, adding that home décor, furniture, furnishings, artisanal textiles, dry flowers, potpourri, natural fibre products, handcrafted fashion jewellery, and accessories were exhibited.
