The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) may soon release the exam city intimation slip for the Group D Computer Based Test (CBT) 2025, with the admit card expected a few days before the exam. The examination is tentatively scheduled to be held from November 17 to December 2025.
According to the schedule, the city slip will be made available around 10 days before the exam, while the admit card will be released approximately one week ahead. Once out, candidates can download both documents from their respective regional RRB websites.
Exam pattern and marking scheme
The CBT will last 90 minutes and consist of 100 questions. Each correct answer will carry one mark, and one-third of a mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.
The question paper will cover Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs.
Over 1 crore applicants for Group D
RRB has received over 1.08 crore applications for Group D posts under CEN 08/2024, making it one of the largest recruitment drives in India. The Mumbai region recorded the highest number of applicants with 15.59 lakh registrations.
A total of 32,438 vacancies have been announced across various zones for positions such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Assistant Pointsman, and technical roles in Electrical, Mechanical, and Signal & Telecommunication departments.
