Skoda Auto India has launched the Skoda Kylaq compact SUV, marking its entry into the competitive sub-compact SUV segment in India. The new model will compete with popular rivals such as the Hyundai Venue , Kia Sonet , Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. This launch represents Skoda's first foray into the sub-compact SUV segment, and its performance in the Indian market will be closely watched as it faces stiff competition. The Hyundai Venue is available in E, S, S+, S(O), SX and SX(O) variants and the price starts from Rs 7.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the Sonet, the Sonet is available in HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+ and X-line variants and the price starts from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Comparing the dimensions next, the Kylaq measures 3,995 mm in length, 1975 mm in width, 1575 mm height and has a 2,566 mm wheelbase with a ground clearance of 189 mm. Although both the Sonet and Venue share the same platform, their dimensions differ. The Venue measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,617 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm.
