Virat Kohli is set to return back to the grounds a week after the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Saturday, May 17. The clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is going to restart for the remaining matches of the league that was halted amid India-Pakistan tensions.
Well, amid this, a lot happened. First, India team captain Rohit Sharma announced his retirement, and following him, news of Virat Kohli's retirement also came in. Hence, fans are eagerly waiting to watch Kohli play after the announcement at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
While Kohli's return has sparked a buzz online, a report by Cricbuzz stated that Kohli was left annoyed with the RCB team song playing at Chinnaswamy Stadium, and he asked them to shut down the speakers.

This is when Kohli got annoyed by the sound and asked for the song to be turned off so that he could focus on batting. Immediately, the sound systems were shut down and the speakers were turned off. Kohli then went on to play some crisp straight drives and pull shots.

However, the match was predicted to be delayed as the weather forecast predicted a 65 per cent chance of downpour during the toss. Rain had already led to the abandonment of one of their earlier matches this season against Punjab Kings, and another washout could potentially bring their campaign to an early end.
