New governments have been formed across the country just about a month ago. Development work has also started with the formation of the government. Chandrababu Naidu has also come into action mode after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. CM Chandrababu Naidu is making rapid decisions in the interest of the public. On Monday, he launched the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme in Penumaka village located in the Mangalgiri assembly constituency of Amravati. He started this pension scheme by personally handing over the amount to a family.

The special thing is that CM Chandrababu Naidu had also promised to increase the pension amount before the elections. As per his promise, he increased the pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000. That is, now financially poor people will get Rs 4000 as a pension. Under this scheme (new pension scheme), a total of Rs 4,408 crore will be distributed as pension to 65.31 lakh beneficiaries across the state.

According to a report released, the Chief Minister assisted Islavath Sai, who lives in the ST colony of Penumaka village, and his family living in his hut. Sai, his father Banavath Pamulyanayak, and his mother Banavath Sita are all daily wage laborers. At the same time, while addressing the villagers on this occasion, the Chief Minister described the launch of NTR Bharosa Pension as historic.

He said that his government has started this scheme (Sarkari pension yojna) to help the people financially. He said that my ultimate goal is to make Andhra Pradesh poverty-free.

The government will distribute Rs 4,408 crore.
Chief Minister Naidu said that the previous government, out of malice, forced the elderly and sick people to go to the secretariat in the scorching sun to get their pension. This decision took the lives of 33 innocent people. He said that 1.2 lakh secretariat employees will distribute a total of Rs 4,408 crore to 65.31 lakh beneficiaries across the state.

CM Chandrababu Naidu said that it was TDP founder and former CM NT Rama Rao who started this pension scheme with an initial amount of Rs 35 per month. He said that this amount was increased to Rs 75, Rs 200, Rs 1,000, and then Rs 2,000 during 2014-19 when TDP was in power. He said that now his government has increased the pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000.

So many crores will be spent on pensions.
CM Chandrababu Naidu said that the total amount to be spent on pension (cost of pension distribution) is estimated to be Rs 33,100 crore per year and Rs 1.65 lakh crore for five years, which is much higher than the amount spent by the previous YSRC government. He said that this is our first step towards fulfilling the promises made to the people and bridging the economic disparities.

They will get Rs 6,000
State CM Chandrababu Naidu said that now the elderly, widows, single women, handloom workers, toddy tappers, fishermen, transgenders, and artists will get Rs 4,000 every month, while the disabled will get Rs 6,000. At the same time, 24,318 beneficiaries suffering from serious diseases and bedridden will get Rs 15,000 as a pension. Whereas earlier this amount was Rs 5,000. He said that this would put an additional burden of Rs 819 crore per month on the treasury (pension scheme).
