If you live in Delhi and you have not paid house tax till now. So you can pay your house tax in MCD sitting at home. For this, you have to go to the official website of Delhi MCD https://mcdonline.nic.in/portal. After this, you have to click on 'Pay Property Tax' appearing on the top right side. After this, you have to create your account here. If you have an account.
Then you have to login. Then you have to enter the details of your property. After this, you can calculate your tax and fill in the complete details through self-assessment. You can make payment using net banking, UPI, credit card and debit card. After payment, you will get a receipt. Which you can download and keep.
When do you get discount on paying house tax?
Discount is given to those who pay house tax online by Delhi MCD. This year, till 31 March 2025, discount was given to those who deposited house tax online by MCD. Delhi MCD had given this concession to those who pay house tax for the financial year 2024-25.
A discount of 2% was given on online payments up to Rs 10,000. Let us tell you that last year a discount of up to 10% was announced for those who made the payment till June 30. It remains to be seen when the discount is announced again by the MCD this time
