NCERT Textbook: Many schools in Delhi are trying to solve the problem of not getting new NCERT books for students of classes 4, 5, 7, and 8 this year. For this, they are resorting to optional education systems like PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, digital study material, and bridge programs.
CBSE update: When will the new books come?
According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), textbooks for classes 4 and 7 are likely to be printed between April 10 and 20. In such a situation, schools have to use other resources to connect students with the curriculum.
New methods of education are being adopted.
Many schools have decided to organize special orientation programs for students and consultation sessions for parents. In these sessions, it will be told how studies can be continued smoothly even without books.
Parents' concerns, schools' initiative
Some parents are worried about this delay, but the school administration is reassuring them. According to a school administrator, it is being told that an Adaptation and Orientation Program has been planned for the students this week so that they can get comfortable with the new education system.
A similar issue was resolved last year too.
Last year too, there was a delay in the books of classes 6 and 8, but it was handled effectively and there was no impact on the examinations of the students. Schools are confident that they will be able to control the situation similarly this year too.
Until new books are available, Delhi schools are trying their best to continue the studies of the students through digital content, practical approaches and orientation programs.
