Join the Indian Army: Are you an engineering graduate or in the final year and ready to become a leader in the Indian Army? If yes, then you have a chance to join the Indian Army through the Technical Graduate Course (TGC 142)-January 2026. Online application for this has started from 30 April 2025. You can visit the Indian Army website till 29 May 2025, 3:00 pm.

From the TGT-142 course in January 2026, recruitment will be done in various engineering branches in the Indian Army. The special thing about the Technical Graduate Entry Scheme is that you do not have to pass a written exam in it. There is a direct SSB interview. After this, there will be training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. Then you will get a permanent commission in the Indian Army.

Eligibility for Indian Army TGC 142 Course
Age Limit- Candidates' age should be between 20 to 27 years as of 1 January 2026.

Educational Qualification- This recruitment is for unmarried youth. B.Tech degree holders or B.Tech final year students can apply for this.

In which corps of the Indian Army will one get a commission?
TGT-142 will get one commissioned in various corps of the Indian Army, including the Corps of Engineers, Signal Corps, and Electronics and Mechanical Engineers.

How many days is the training course?
After being selected for the TGT-142 course, there will be 12 months of training at IMA Dehradun. After this, you will get a permanent commission in the army at the rank of lieutenant.

How much salary will be given?
During training at IMA Dehradun, you will get a stipend of Rs 56400 per month. After this, you will get a salary of Rs 17-18 lakh per year. Along with this, you will get many facilities including free medical cover and free facility to visit hometown once a year, CSD canteen and accommodation.
