CTET 2024: If you want to appear in the CTET 2024 examination (Central Teacher Eligibility Test), then you should not delay in filling the form. The last date to fill out the form for CTET 2024 is near. According to the calendar released by the Central Board of Secondary Education, applications for CTET 2024 can be made till 23 November. CBSE has also announced the exam date of CTET. CTET exam will be applied on 21 January 2024.
This is a national-level qualifying examination to become a teacher from class 1st to 5th and 6th to 8th in Kendriya Vidyalayas like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya. Apart from this, its scorecard is also recognized for teacher recruitment in schools in the states. Online application for CTET 2024 has to be done by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in.
If General/OBC (NCL) candidates apply for Paper-I or Paper-II, the application fee is Rs 1000. Whereas if you apply for both papers then it is Rs 1200. Similarly, if SC/ST and Divyang apply for one paper, they will have to pay Rs 500 and if they apply for both, they will have to pay Rs 600. The last date for depositing fees is 28th November.
Who can give the CTET exam
If you want to become a teacher of primary i.e. classes 1st to 5th, then you will have to take CTET Paper-I exam. Whereas, to become a teacher of classes 6th to 8th, one will have to appear in CTET Paper-II exam. For CTET Paper-I, one must have passed 12th with at least 50% marks. Also, one should have done two years D.El.Ed or four years B.El.Ed course. Whereas for CTET Paper-II, one should have passed 12th with at least 50% marks. Also must have done D.El.Ed and graduation. Those having B.Ed or its equivalent degree can also appear for CTET Paper-2 exam.
