Where to watch Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce-inspired Christmas film in the UK

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have won over fans with their larger-than-life romance, and now a movie seemingly inspired by the couple is coming to the small screen.

American TV channel Lifetime has released its annual movie slate, with 12 new films set to release every week from November 16 until December 22.

The list has something for all romance fans including fantasy, workplace dramas and small-town love but one story sounds a little familiar. Christmas in the Spotlight follows a blooming romance between a pop star (played by Jessica Lord) and a professional football player (portrayed by Laith Wallschleger).

What is the plot?

Musician and celebrity Bowyn, is famed for singing about love but can't make time for dating due to her busy schedule. Then she meets Drew, and they instantly click.

The official synopsis reads: "When Drew publicly declares he has a crush on Bowyn, they decide to give dating a shot, much to the excitement of her manager Mira (Jeannie Mai). With each passing day they spend together, their feelings grow stronger… but can it last in the limelight, especially when they both have such hectic schedules?

"With people questioning if their feelings for each other are real or just for show, the pressure mounts from the press, paparazzi, their fans and even their family, including Drew’s sister-in-law, Nicole (Haley Kalil). The pair has until the end of the holiday season to decide if they want to stay together, or let it go down in flames."

Who is in the cast?

The actors in the upcoming romance are relatively under-the-radar. Leading lady, Jessica Lord, is a British-Canadian actress best known for her role in Hulu's 2018 dramedy, Find Me in Paris.

She has also starred in The Next Step, a teen drama about a group of dancers competing for a coveted championship title.

Laith Wallschleger has had several TV stints, including in ABC's comedy Grown-ish, Ryan Murphy's acclaimed drama 9-1-1, and FX's limited series American Sports Story.

Where can I watch it in the UK?

Sadly, UK viewers cannot watch the forthcoming film through any official streaming service.

Lifetime is exclusively available in America and they have not announced a UK release for this year's Christmas movies. This means in order to watch it you would need to hop on a flight to the US.

Until further notice, we can only watch the real-life Taylor and Travis romance play out.
