Travis Kelce's ex hints Taylor Swift is the reason she's been pushed out of WAG clique

Kayla Nicole has opened up about now being estranged from people that she had "grown close to," following her break-up from just over two years ago.

Content creator Kayla, now 32, dated the star, now 35, between 2017 and 2022. Travis has since moved on with singer-songwriter , 34, whom the player has been romantically linked to since last year.

Over the years since their separation, Kayla has spoken about her relationship with Travis and the aftermath of their break-up. She's suggested that it has affected friendships she formed with people in his life during their romance.

Speaking about the challenges of a break-up, whilst discussing her own separation, she told Angel Reese on the podcast: "I think behind closed doors, the hardest part about a break-up is just losing like a partner and a best friend and this person that you talk to every single day."

Kayla added in the episode, released last month: "You go from speaking every day to having to really like cut ties, and that goes for not just the person you're in a relationship with, but like even they're family, and they're friends and people that you've grown close to. I think that's a huge challenge."

She's thought to have once been close to the partners of Travis' teammates when she dated the athlete. According to , sources now claim that Kayla feels Taylor's presence has affected dynamics within the group, reportedly resulting in her feeling distanced from her once-close friends. The outlet reports that she feels "pushed out" out of the spotlight due to Taylor, who now regularly attends the team's games and has at times socialised with partners of Travis' teammates.

Last week, reported that Nicole has suggested that she lost friendships following her break-up with Travis. Asked if she remained friends with the other players' partners, Kayla, who didn't name anyone specifically, said: "We are not as cool as we once were." Nicole added that her break-up transition was "hard" because her now estranged friends were once "like family".

Kayla previously spoke specifically about her friendship with , 29, who is the wife of Travis' pal and teammate , 29. It was reported last year that Kayla had unfollowed Brittany on social media, despite them having seemingly been close previously. Kayla and Travis were even a bridesmaid and a groomsman respectively at Brittany and Patrick's wedding back in 2022.

Discussing the friendship, amid reports that Brittany had befriended Travis' new partner Taylor, Kayla told last year that she had "communicated" to Brittany why she had unfollowed her but assured that "love is still there". She said: "That's a lot of history and friendship there, that doesn't change overnight. But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That's really all that is."
