Sue Radford reflected on the loss of her stillborn son Alfie to mark the tenth anniversary of his birth this weekend.
The reality TV star, now 49, and her husband Noel Radford, now 53, have paid tribute to Alfie, who was stillborn in 2014, over the years. He's also been remembered on Channel 5's 22 Kids and Counting, which follows the Radford family.
This week marks the ten year anniversary, with Sue having taken to the family's Instagram account on Friday to reflect over the occasion. She told their followers that it "never ever gets easier" and alongside the message, Sue shared a series of photos, including of Alfie's foot and hand prints.
She wrote: "This time 10 years ago I was in a labour room being told our beautiful baby boy had no heartbeat. I would be induced a few hours later for him to be born silent but perfect at 7:54am the next morning." Sue concluded by telling their fans: "This time of year never ever gets easier. I cant believe it's 10 years tomorrow since he was born."
The recent post was followed-up on Saturday by footage of Sue and Noel's youngest child Heidie, four, visiting late Alfie's grave. The caption accompanying the video read: "Heidie's giving her big brother's headstone a good clean bless her."
The family have paid tribute to Alfie over the years, including in a post on his birthday last year. It read: "We miss you so much and often wonder who you would have been like and what you would have loved doing." And the family further wrote in the post: "You'll always be our missing heartbeat."
Sue and Noel have also previously discussed ensuring that Alfie is remembered by the family. Once, during an episode of their show that aired last year, the couple shared that he is spoken about within the family and it was suggested by Noel that even their youngest kids "understand it".
"It's definitely something we know we talk about - Alfie. Obviously the kids come with us when we got to see his grave and things like that. So even the ones that weren't born, they understand it - who Alfie is," Noel commented.
Sue shared: "He's just always spoken about, isn't he?" And after Noel said that the loss was one of the "biggest things" that has affected the family, she commented: "It's the worst thing that I think we'd ever been through." Sue added in the same episode: "That was just the lowest point in our lives."
