Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas compared his professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk to his wife Caroline as he opened up about the infamous show curse.
The Waterloo Road actor, 35, is one of the many talented stars taking part in this year's BBC1 dance competition and was paired up with the Russian dancer. Every season, many fear the Strictly curse will happen to them and Adam revealed he has "already" gone through it. Appearing on his brothers Ryan and Scott's podcast, Mancs on the Mic, Adam opened up about his experience on the show as well as some backstage gossip. Shocking his siblings, the actor said: "The Strictly curse has happened. I know...I couldn't believe it myself but me and Luba...."
Before his brothers had a miniature heart attack, Adam quickly quipped: "I'm joking," as Ryan and Scott gasped and laughed at the cheeky joke. Scott soon added: "Everyone says Luba looks like Caroline." Adam agreed with the comparison and replied: "She does...she does."

Adam previously joked about wanting to experience the Strictly curse. Last year, he was asked about taking part in the show and he said: "Bring it all on, I love a bit of glitz and glam. I was going to say something then, but it might get blown out of context. I just want to experience the Strictly curse."
He married his dancer wife, Caroline Daly, in 2017. The couple share two children, nine-year-old Teddy and five-year-old Elsie. Before this year's series started, Adam revealed he and his wife argued about his participation in the show. And this is down to the fact that Caroline is a dance teacher - and she’s not been sharing any dance tips with him.
Opening up to The Sun, Adam said: “She’s a dance teacher. But no, she’s not given me any tips. We literally had this argument the other day because I was like, ‘Why have you not taught me how to dance after all these years I’ve been with you?’
“And she was like, ‘Well, you’ve never taught me how to act.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, very good point actually!’” Meanwhile, Adam's dance partner Luba was slammed by former dancer Brendan Cole after he watched her choreography for Adam's first dance. The former Strictly star, 47, who was forced to leave the BBC show after his contract had not been renewed in 2018, labelled the Waterloo Road star's first dance as "average" and "dull".
Speaking to Sky Bingo earlier this week he said: "I think (Adam Thomas') partner needs to do better."
