Prince William and Kate Middleton 'have unique takeaway privilege other royals don't'

Prince William and Princess Kate are said to have a 'unique' privilege when it comes to takeaways that some other members of the Royal Family aren't believed to enjoy.

Like many other families, the couple are believed to occasionally indulge in a takeaway, with Indian and Chinese cuisine believed to be their preferences. However, unlike some of their relatives who reportedly have to collect their food delivery from the Palace gates, Prince William and Princess Kate have the luxury of having it brought directly to their door.

As reported by OK! magazine, the pair confirmed to BBC Radio 1 's Scott Mills in 2017 that they are "absolutely" permitted to order a takeaway. It's been teased that their royal status doesn't hinder their ability to enjoy such a treat.

During the interview, Princess Kate revealed that her favourite dish is a "curry, definitely," while Prince William confessed that he's "not so good with spice". The latter also disclosed that their meals are picked up for them. In separated appearance on BBC Radio 5 Live 's ' That Peter Crouch Podcast,' Prince William expanded on his food preferences, admitting that despite not being a fan of spicy food, he does enjoy a chicken masala occasionally as he is "not a vindaloo man".

As reported by the Express, in a discussion on the Table Manners podcast, Princess Eugenie shared her takeaway habits. "So last night we got a curry, which I never do," she admitted, adding: "I never eat them! [My husband Jack Brooksbank ] and I were literally sitting for an hour on Deliveroo, like what on Earth does this mean?"

Prince William's cousin, who has two children with her husband, opened up about the practicalities of ordering food to the Palace. Eugenie disclosed that they personally collect their orders, saying: "We ring down and say, 'there's a Deliveroo coming', and then we'll get in our pyjamas and drive down and go pick it up."

Despite the potential hassle, Eugenie explained that walking in her pyjamas wasn't her preferred option. When asked about why they don't just get deliveries straight to their door, she said that that isn't offered to her and her family.

The Royal Family's penchant for takeaways doesn't end with Eugenie. Queen Camilla is said to have a soft spot for fish and chips. Additionally, a former Royal butler once suggested that Princess Diana used to occasionally treat her young sons Prince William and Prince Harry to McDonald's.
