Morrisons has launched a new online currency exchange service - just in time for when families jet off for their summer holidays.

Shoppers can order currency online at Morrisonstravelmoney.com for click and collect or home delivery, through a partnership with Eurochange. The currency can be collected at Morrisons Travel Money kiosks, which are available in more than 50 stores.

Morrisons Travel Money kiosks are currently available in towns and cities including Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, St Helen’s, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, London, Basingstoke and Hastings. Jamie Winter, Procurement, Popular and Useful Services and Energy Director at Morrisons, said: “Morrisons Travel Money with Eurochange will provide our customers with easy access to a wide range of currencies at competitive exchange rates. Whether they are headed to Europe, the USA or further afield, our customers can now lock in their rates by ordering online and then pick up their travel money, along with their sun cream and holiday essentials, from our stores.”

Charles Stewart, Managing Director at Eurochange, said: “As well as increasing our reach and presence in key UK locations, this collaboration will make it simpler than ever for people to get travel money and make the most of their time abroad. Now, Morrisons customers will be able to pick up their foreign currency while doing the weekly shop, whether online or in-store, with competitive rates and a wider range of currencies than any other supermarket.”

Morrisons has announced several other new changes recently. The supermarket is expanding its quiet hours to run between 2pm to 3pm every Monday to Thursday. Quiet hours are already implemented between 9am and 10am on Saturdays, and the first hour of trade on Sundays.

Morrisons is also introducing a new loyalty scheme feature with "hyper-personalised" offers for customers who use its More Card app. "My Points Boosters" offers shoppers the chance to take on challenges - such as reaching certain spend milestones - based on their shopping patterns.

Finally, the supermarket is also rolling out new children's trolleys and checkouts across more of its stores after a successful trial. The child checkouts are supervised by a Morrisons member of staff and children are shown how to scan their shopping.
