Melissa McCarthy has had her say following the uproar caused by Barbra Streisand's Ozempic claims.
The iconic singer, 82, stunned her fas as she accused the actress, 53, of using the drug after showing off her impressive weight loss. Melissa took to Instagram earlier this week to share snaps of herself at the Centre Theatre Group's annual gala in Los Angeles when Barbra took it upon herself to slide into the comments section of her post.
"Give him my regards did you take Ozempic?" the Evergreen songstress said in a now-deleted comment, leading to a backlash from supporters who quickly vented their fury in response.

Ozempic is a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. The active ingredient in Ozempic, semaglutide, is now also used in the fight against obesity.
Now, Melissa too has had her say, making it clear there are no hard feelings between the pair. A photographer asked the Bridesmaids star her opinion on the saga and she simply responded: "I think Barbra is a treasure and I love her." She is also said to have waved off the questions about whether she thought Barbra's comments were unnecessary.
Melissa's response comes after Barbra had issued an apology for any uproar caused. Posting on Twitter /X, she said: "OMG - I went on Instagram to see the photos we'd posted of the beautiful flowers I'd received for my birthday!
Below them was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy who I sang with on my Encore album. She looked fantastic! I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot the world is reading!"
Since the pair sang Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) in 2016 for Barbra's successful album, they have shared a friendship which has seen Barbra often comment on Melissa's posts. However, it's obvious none have made quite the lasting impression as this one.
Melissa's latest project, Unfrosted, is set to air on Netflix on May 3. On Tuesday she joined other cast members and celebrities on the red carpet of a screening at the Egyptian Theatre in LA.
