received an acting award at the BAMBI Awards in Germany after he snubbed the finals episodes of Yellowstone.
The actor accepted a gong in the Actor International Category for his excellencing in acting, visionary creativity and contributions to the film industry at Bavaria Studios in Munich this week. The award recognises talent in international media and television to those in the media, culture, arts, sports and many other creative fields.
Kevin, 69, looked dapperin a black three-piece suit and a bowtie. He held up the award and posed for pictures on the carpet. While Kevin was in Munich accepting his award, his Yellowstone co-stars were busy promoting the premiere of season five part two of Yellowstone at the MOMA in New York City.
Luke Grimes, who plays Kevin's son Kacey Dutton in the popular show, attended the premiere with onscreen wife Kelsey Asbille, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Wes Bentley and Gil Birmingham. Kevin played John Dutton III until his departure after part 5A. He left the neo-Western drama in part due to scheduling conflicts with his Horizon: An American Saga film.

Academy Award winner Kevin confirmed in June that he wouldn't be part of the latest series but it still isn't known how his departure will be shown. Meanwhile, Luke recently opened up about what it was like filming for the show without Kevin with them on set. He added that it gave a 'finality' to the set.
Luke explained: "Him not coming back felt like, 'Okay, we're going to have to land this plane now for real'. I think the patriarch leaving was always going to be part of the story. That's always where it was headed is like, what do these kids do? What does this family do when their rock is gone?"
According to the actor, the drama of the exit 'was always going to go that way.' He continued: "Whatever the circumstances may be, [it] definitely felt like, 'Okay, we're coming in for a landing.' It definitely felt different He's a big presence, man, guy's an icon. So not having him around to set felt a little different.
"But as always, I mean, we're a big family now. It was just as special and hopefully, the fans will be able to connect with the story just as much." Yellowstone premiered in 2018 and became the most-watched show shown on cable, according to .
